Scott, has many roles here at the retreat. You will find him helping out in lots of areas during your stay.
Personal chef & plant based foodie.
In 1990 I trained and qualified as a chef, at the North Warwickshire catering school, and started my career as a chef at the Park Lane Hilton in London.
My love for fresh vibrant food started there but with personal development, and my love of everything fresh, I now create nutritional menus based solely on plant based ingredients. After a few days of eating delicious vibrant food your body and energy levels will feel completely different. Don’t think for a minute that plant based foods will be dull and boring. Prepare to have your taste buds well and truly woken up.
I create daily menus with the freshest ingredients that the local Spanish markets have to offer. We even grow some of the produce right here in the gardens of the retreat, like the tangy lemons I use to make our own homemade lemonade.
As well as my love for food I am also a qualified mindfulness coach.
Mindfulness meditation is an incredible training practice that involves focusing your mind on your experiences including your own emotions, thoughts, and sensations in the present moment.
Its roots go back to the Zen teachings of Budda. However, the modern teachings of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) are based on the teachings of Dr Jon Kabbat-Zinn.
Mindfulness is a way of connecting to the here and now. Our thoughts tune into what we're sensing in the present moment, rather than rehashing the past or imagining the future.
With my help you will become more in touch with the things you do and don’t need, because you will be more in touch with your true feelings than ever before.
There is no better place to practice Mindfulness meditation than sitting in one of the many chillout areas in the grounds of the clarity Retreat, alongside me, whilst watching the sunset, connecting with your thoughts and feelings.
With daily practice, the Mindfulness techniques you will learn at the retreat can be taken away and used in your everyday life.
And finally, I am one of the hosts at the Clarity Retreat. So if there is anything else that you need, don’t hesitate to ask.
